New Twitter Account and Updated App

Our miBUG app (Android and iPhone) has been updated to include our new Twitter account. Don't forget to use the #miBUG hastag at the meeting Friday!

New miBUG Apps!

Our Michigan Blackboard Users Group (miBUG.org) is making their new app available in the Android Market and through iTunes (coming soon). The app was developed by Szymon Machajewski, Senior Blackboard Solutions Engineer/DBA at Grand Rapids Community College. To start, the app includes a RSS feed from the miBUG site, Twitter search for our hashtag (#miBUG), link to GRCC's distance learning Twitter feed (twitter.com/dlitgroup), and a link to our full mibug.org site (see screenshot above).

New miBUG Building Block Announced!

miBUG has released a Building Block for displaying Frequently-Asked Questions on Blackboard. This is a feed module which defaults, but the URL can be modified (in settings) to miBug.org FAQ. YouTube video is used as avatar in the display. A link is provided under "Resources."

A brief history...

Michigan Blackboard Users Group (miBUG) was established by Donna Wicks and Jon Kowalski of Kettering University. A lot has happened in our brief history, including annual conferences, special interest group meetings, collaborative sessions and seemingly countless updates to Blackboard. Sharing ideas and information has proven valuable to miBUG members and created an organization of which we are all proud.

kettering.pngOur membership, which includes K12 school districts, community colleges and universities, continues to benefit from one another’s experiences and shared resources. Any Michigan institution utilizing Blackboard products is welcome to become part of miBUG. If you are a user (faculty, administrator, CIO, director, student, etc.) of any of the following products, please join us!
