The Michigan Blackboard Users Group (miBUG) was established over five years ago by Donna Wicks and Jon Kowalski of Kettering University. A lot has happened in our brief history, including four annual conferences, several special interest group meetings, collaborative sessions and a seemingly countless number of updates and changes to the Blackboard course management system. Sharing ideas and information has proven valuable to miBUG members and created an organization of which we are all proud. Our membership, which includes K12 school districts, community colleges and universities, continues to benefit from one another’s experiences and shared resources. Any Michigan institution utilizing Blackboard products is welcome to become part of miBUG. For information on becoming a member, visit the resources section of the website. Online Course Management Systems, such as Blackboard, play an increasingly important role in the education process. In these changing times, as Blackboard users struggle with the limitations of an ever-changing system and benefit from the effective implementation of the technologies it offers, miBUG members remain committed to ongoing collaboration. We are appreciative of the efforts of our founders, Jon and Donna, and look forward to a bright and productive future. |
